Goal to Goal Coaching CoursesThe Edmonton Minor Soccer Association is offering a number of coaching courses for all levels, for the beginner to the experienced coach. Courses are three hours in length consisting of one hour of classroom and two hours on the field
Level 1 – Mini U6 to U12This course is designed for the development of movement skills needed for all sports, with the main emphasis on soccer. Games, methodology, and techniques will be given to the participants so that an enjoyable experience will be had by all. This course will give any new soccer coach the tools needed to run great practices and activity sessions. Wear active clothing and footwear! Level 2 – U12 to U18 CommunityThis course is designed to give the coach ideas on how to improve his team’s technical skill. This would be for the Tier 3 – 9 coach who wishes to improve their team’s enjoyment and success on the field. We will be going over proper techniques on shooting, heading, fitness and ball control. Wear active clothing and footwear! Level 3 – U12 to U18 High PerformanceThis course is designed to give the coach techniques, philosophy and research based strategies to improve the performance of their players at the different stages of development. The development for players to perform tasks at pace, on demand, and under pressure will be emphasized in this course. Several themes will be looked at. Wear active clothing and footwear! Level 1 – Mini U6 to U12: April 19 – 9:00 am - Noon May 10 – 1:00 pm – 4:00p Level 2 – U12 – U18 Community: April 19 – 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm May 10 - 9:00 am - Noon Level 3 – U12 – U18 High Performance April 26 – 9:00 am – Noon All classes will be held at the South Soccer Centre – 6520 Roper Road Advanced On-Line Registration is required. Fee for all courses is $45.00To register: Go to www.edmontonsoccer.com under Outdoor Referee and Coaching Courses (Registrations will not be accepted at the EMSA office either by phone or e-mail). The EMSA can invoice Zone offices, provided we have received prior e-mail confirmation from them. Please contact your zone for more information. Credit card payment will be available only as an option through ITS when you register on-line. This is a secure process and e-mail receipts are provided immediately via e- mail. You must register on-line, however if you do not want to pay on-line you may come in to the EMSA office once you are registered. If you choose to pay in person, payment must be received a minimum of one working day before the course date or you will not be permitted to take the course. No fees will be accepted by course instructors.
